Cu Chi Tunnels – Half Day Tour
TOUR PROGRAM

Our tour bus and guide will pick you up. We’ll then depart for the CU CHI TUNNELS – a 1.5-hour drive northwest of the city, part of a vast network built by the Vietnamese during the 1940s and 1960s to resist French and American forces.
On the way, we’ll stop at LAM PHAT, a workshop where people with disabilities—many impacted by the war’s lasting effects, such as Agent Orange—create and sell lacquer paintings and handicrafts. This is a meaningful opportunity to support their craft and learn about the war’s enduring legacy. Upon arrival, you’ll explore the BEN DINH SECTION of the CU CHI TUNNELS, a historically significant site within the 250-kilometer tunnel network used by the Vietnamese during the Resistance War Against America (1955–1975). This area was a key base for guerrilla operations in the Saigon region.
Here’s what you’ll experience:
DOCUMENTARY & EXHIBITS: Watch a historical documentary about the tunnels’ role in the war, and see displays of self-made weapons, bamboo traps, and other tools used by the Viet Cong to outmaneuver larger, better-equipped forces.
TUNNEL LIFE: Learn how guerrillas dug, lived, and fought in this underground system, which included living quarters, hospitals, and command centers, often under intense bombardment.
STRENGTH OF WILL: Discover how determination and ingenuity allowed the Vietnamese to resist sophisticated American weaponry, including through tactics like hidden trapdoors and booby traps.
TUNNEL CRAWLING (Optional):Experience the narrow tunnels firsthand by crawling through a safe, widened section, giving you a sense of the claustrophobic conditions endured by the fighters.
SHOOTING RANGE (Optional, Extra Fee): Try firing an AK-47 at the on-site range (650,000 VND / bullets, not included in the tour price).
TASTE HISTORY: Sample steamed cassava, a staple food for guerrillas during the war, often eaten with salt and peanuts for sustenance.
Leave Cu Chi , the bus take you back to D1. End of trip.
This tour offers a deep dive into the resilience and history of the Cu Chi Tunnels, a testament to Vietnam’s wartime ingenuity and spirit.
