Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta – Full-Day Experience
TOUR PROGRAM
Morning (7:15 – 7:30 ): Bus and tour guide pick you up at the meeting point and depart for CU CHI TUNNELS, 70 km west of Ho Chi Minh City. This system was dug by the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam during the Indochina War and Vietnam War. The tunnel system includes an infirmary, many rooms, a kitchen, a storage room, a working room, and an underground tunnel system.
The tunnel system is about 200 km long and has ventilation systems at bush locations. The tunnel was built on land known as “steel land”, located at the end of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. During the 1968 Tet Offensive, the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam used this tunnel system to attack Saigon.
When visiting the Cu Chi tunnels, you will learn how ancient Vietnamese guerrillas built, lived and fought in the tunnels, and will be able to watch valuable documentary footage about the war and how soldiers fought in the tunnels. The Vietnamese people have defeated modern weapons only with national will.
Witness with your own eyes primitive homemade weapons, bamboo traps…, crawl in the tunnels, and watch local people make rice paper and rice wine.
In addition, you also have the opportunity to shoot guns at the shooting range in Tunnels.
Noon (11:30): Then depart to continue the journey to the Mekong Delta river region :
Tourists coming to My Tho Cruise Port board a boat to travel the Tien River, sightseeing the four islands of Long, Lan, Qui, Phung. The boat runs along the floating fish raft for visitors to learn how local people raise fish on the river and see the Rach Mieu bridge.
Arriving at Thoi Son island (Lan island), tourists walk on the village road, visit local houses and fruit gardens, take souvenir photos and then visit the honey bee farm and enjoy honey tea. lemon, visit the coconut candy factory.
Next, you will enjoy the melodies of Don Ca Tai Tu Xu Dua and eat free fruit. After that, visitors use rowing boats to weave into the small canal to admire the two rows of natural water coconut trees and the simple landscape of the garden. You have lunch at a local restaurant ( Around 14:00 PM )
Afternoon (17:00): Return to the boat to My Tho, depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
19:00 PM : Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, the bus drops off at Pham Ngu Lao or Ben Thanh market. Tour guide says goodbye and see you again next time!
